Rachel’s Empowering Journey: From Beauty Center to Triple Happiness Coach and Wellness Innovator

Rachel founded Wonderlab after dedicating years to clinical settings and high-performance coaching. She introduces her unique approach as Triple Happiness, emphasizing that true well-being encompasses thriving in work, relationships, and self.

Her method integrates clinical best practices with practical strategies tailored for busy lives. Rachel encourages her clients to “be naked” — not in a literal sense, but by shedding their masks to work from a foundation of genuine honesty and lasting transformation.

Rachel’s mission is to empower individuals and organisations to prioritise happiness and well-being, effectively addressing mental health challenges and fostering more fulfilling lives. By cultivating a culture of balance, resilience, and emotional awareness, she demonstrates that real success is deeply rooted in well-being, both personally and professionally.

Through innovative programs like the 30-Day Happiness Challenge and the Staff Wellbeing Program, Rachel helps business owners, team leaders, and HR managers create environments where employees feel valued, supported, and engaged. She passionately believes that together, we can build a future where happiness and productivity coexist, contributing to a more positive and mentally healthy workplace.

Discover how the H.A.P.P.Y. model can drive growth for you and your team, ensuring that well-being becomes a shared journey toward a thriving future.

What inspired you to start your own business, and how has your journey shaped your personal and professional growth?

Wonderlab began with a single act of love — supporting my sister as she started a new life in Australia after migrating from Hong Kong, navigating divorce and raising a two-year-old daughter on her own. Witnessing her transformation deeply moved me. It showed me how profoundly the right support can change a person — not just on the outside, but from within. That experience sparked a question I couldn't let go of: what about the inner voice? It led me to pursue positive psychology and neuroscience, exploring how self-leadership and mindset shape the way we live, work, and grow. I came to believe that life is always a choice — and that with the right thinking, we can take action in entirely new ways. Combining my passion for wellness with my love of business, I built Wonderlab to set a new standard — placing wellness and business under one roof, reimagined for the digital age.

How do you balance personal well-being with the demands of running a business, and what strategies work best for you?

The most powerful strategy I've learned is also the simplest: pause. No matter how much you love what you do, you must stop to recharge, regain, reset, and reflect — before you can perform at your best. For me, this is non-negotiable. Pausing isn't a luxury or a sign of slowing down; it is the foundation of sustainable leadership. Setting that boundary — with yourself first — is one of the most courageous business decisions you can make. When you pause with intention, you return with clarity. And clarity is what separates reactive decisions from purposeful ones. That rhythm of rest and action is at the heart of everything we do at Wonderlab — because we believe that how you lead yourself is how you lead everything else.

What advice would you give to other women seeking to start their own businesses or take their current ventures to the next level?

The gap between a great idea and a great business is not talent — it is action. So many women carry brilliant ideas, yet overthinking becomes the invisible wall that keeps them from ever starting. My advice is simple: move first, refine later. Think of growth as a cycle — explore, reflect, expand, and ready yourself to scale. Each stage teaches you something the previous one couldn't. You don't need to have all the answers before you begin; you just need the courage to take the first step and the discipline to keep learning from every one that follows. Stop waiting for the perfect moment, the perfect plan, or the perfect version of yourself. Action creates clarity. Clarity builds confidence. And confidence is what takes you to the next level — and beyond.

What is your go-to word, and what does it mean to you?

Our go-to word is Wonder. To us, Wonder is the curiosity that welcomes new learning, the openness that embraces unexpected discoveries, and the hopeful surprise that sparks meaningful change. It is our daily invitation to explore, ask better questions, and show up — fully present and endlessly curious. I am interested to wonder… today.
